7th-Grade teacher to students: Obama is a ‘N’-word. Angry parents in the northwest Florida community of Marianna want a middle school teacher fired after he put the “N”-word on the board to describe Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama. The Marianna Middle School teacher, Greg Howard, is now serving a 10-day suspension after writing an acronym on the dry-erase board on Sept. 26: “C.H.A.N.G.E. – Come Help A N*gg*r Get Elected.” But many parents want the 17-year teacher fired. The seventh-grade social studies teacher’s class has 17 White students, six Black students and one Asian student. Initially he was suspended for the day without pay, but that was elevated to the 10-day punishment. He must also write a letter of apology to students. “We feel like the punishment is sufficient,” Larry Moore, superintendent of the Jackson County School District, told The Detroit Free Press. “We did not feel he had to be fired.” NAACP officials say they will reserve their actions in the case until their investigation is complete. . . . .

This is crazy we can say anything now and get away with as long as we write an letter of apology
Greg Howard is a disgrace to his profession and should be fired. A teacher is suppose to teach young minds that all men are created equal, and you judge them by character not color. You can teach your own children to be racist at home, but you can’t force your beliefs on other peoples’ kids. He invaded their “Civil Rights” and that is not allowered under the Constitution. Children have minds of their own, and they definitely how to use them.
Why is this man still teaching?? How can people still say these things in this day and age and get away with just a slap on the wrist?? His teaching certificate should be pulled and burned. He should not be allowed to teach in any state in the country. That he is not fired is a shameful thing and says alot about Marianna, Florida and it’s concerns for the children’s education.
Those 6 black students in that chass should have gotten up and whipped his ass. And when they were done, the other kids 17 White students, and the one Asian student should have whipped his ass again. Then the parents should make sure hat he dose get fired.
He should have needed someone to help a nigger get his foot out of his ass.
Oh Come on this is BS. A black man can make all the jokes he wants about white people but when a white guy does it ohhhh nooo !!! Ever watch the movie White Chicks. Well i think one day I’ll get some producers and a director and invest in Black Chicks the parody. Come on enough of these Double-standards.

It can only be considered a double standard if both sides are equal in power and rights. Sad to say, Mr. White, that is not the case.
Additionally, while I disagree with the suggestions made to whoop Mr. Evans’ behind, I think the teacher heard the stupid joke from one of his students (that joke was going around quite a bit prior to the election) and decided (like a dummy) to repeat it. He deserves his suspenision, and if enough parents press the issue, he will more than likely get fired.
In terms of parodies of black women, feel free to peruse the movies BAPS, Monster’s Ball, Catwoman, Bringing Down the House, Gone With the doggone Wind, shall I continue. Although you make a good point with regard to the fact that White Chicks is a huge joke about white women by black men, white men have made a mockery of black women ever since “moving pictures” have existed.
So I ask you, how can it possibly be a double standard if both sides are not equally represented? Your logic is absolutely fallacious.
