  1. You’ve gotta be kidding me.

All I could think of when I saw this was, “I’ll drink up all the Hennessey you’ve got on your shelf…so just let me introduce myself: My name is Humpty…”

I would not want to be associated with the inspiration for alcoholic beverages, but that’s just me. I’m sure they’ll sell like hotcakes, though.

  2. Ha ha ha Humpty! LOL

  3. Black people! Can we get it together!? *shakes head* Is KFC going to make a special recipe for Obama? Why not? Let’s add a branded watermelon while we are at it. Anyway, I like this blog so I added it to my blogroll. This is how you get so many hits. It’s addictive. lol

  4. ROFL @ “branded watermelon.” I love it!

  5. We are about to witness all types of coonery on sale this weekend . . . The bootlegers are creative lol

I already talked to a homeboy who has made some “I was there” Inauguration T-shirts lol…

  6. Lord, have mercy! Give somebody a doggone iron-on pattern and they go cuckoo for coco puffs.

Lick on tattoos, Hennessey bottles, key chains, nerf balls, baseball caps

psst! Pete! Man, hook a sister up with the Yes-We-Can-Cranberry Kool Aid I heard about if you can find it this weekend. They don’t sell it in Louisiana. ROFL!

  7. HAA!

So they already started in Alabama. They have the march at Petus Bridge in Selma every year. In February of 08, they already had

    - Obama Sneakers/ Fat Laces
    - Obama Belts
    - Obama Hats
    - Obama Ring Tones
    - Air Brushed Tshirts/ Screened

Those babies were selling like hot cakes. The U.S. Mint had to come out and say that that commercial with the big Barack Nickels were fake. lol.

  8. Lord, have mercy. My people!

  9. 2PAC WOULD BE EMBARRASSED!

  10. Wow…

    Let the tomfoolery begin…

  11. I can tolerate the Obama Air Forces (which were a big hit for Christmas in my family) and Obama screened tees. At least they generate revenue in OUR community. Unfortunately, those who go out and “pop this bottle of Hen Dog” don’t realize we’re just being exploited by the LVMH Brand.

  12. Here’s proof once again that buffoonery sells. Obama is a marketing sensation. It’s just too bad he’s not getting the dollars for the use of his image/likeness.

  13. Yep

  14. @ Lisa Maria…

The man made $150 million in ONE MONTH. He ain’t hurting for money. I don’t see him suing Hennessey for royalties or anything. LOL

  15. @ Harriet,

I agree that Obama is a money-making machine. But, imagine how much more he would be worth if the rules for marketing his image were the same as Elvis, Oprah, Ralph Lauren, Kurt Cobain, Marilyn Monroe… Some of these people are making tens of millions of dollars in death. But, not Tupac, Malcolm X, or MLK. Why is that?

  16. @ Lisa,

    True, true.

However, I think my man has much bigger fish to fry right now. He inherited a broken product that’s almost irreparable. If I weren’t saved and in his position, I’d be drinking that doggone Hennessey. LOL

As far as making tens of millions of dollars in death, what good is that money doing to someone who is d-e-a-d? It’s good to leave an inheritace for your children, don’t get me wrong. But some of those jokers wanted to hoard all that money to themselves, yet when their time came to “come to Jesus,” they didn’t have time to spend all they had collected over the years.

…totally different topic, though. my bad.

  17. @Harriet,

You are about to see a grown woman cry because I’m tired of always showing up a day late and a dollar short.

When I see those bootleggers and street peddlers making dollars off President Obama’s likeness, I want to kick myself for always trying to do things decent and in order and worrying about licensing. If Hennessey can make dollars off Obama, surely there’s got to be a market that I can corner somewhere.

Let me get off my pity pot and think real hard about make some dollars.

  18. Smart marketing – errrbody trying to get some loot from the name, the image, the man.

  19. [...] Hennessy ad is kind of hard to read and says: “In honor of the 44th President, Hennessy will make a [...]
